My Blog & I

This quote pretty much sums up what this blog is about:

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”

–  Mark Twain

“Why ‘Brown Girl Wild World’?” you may ask.  Weeeeell…  “Brown Girl” represents who I am.  Nationality wise, I’m from North America.  Ethnicity wise, I am Afro and Latino Caribbean.  “Wild World”… well… because of Maxi Priest actually.  lol  Let me explain.  One of my favorite reggae songs by the artist Maxi Priest is “Wild World”.  I loved the video! I loved the imagery.  It was like a moving collage of him, the girl he was singing to, and random images related to world travel.  It just feels so much like what I’m experiencing and what I want this blog to be like.  A young woman going out into the world and experiencing new things but being informed to be careful out there and seeing why for herself.  That’s me!

I have visited over 50 countries and counting...

I have visited over 50 countries and counting…

Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed about traveling the world. It was one of my heart’s deepest desires.  I never knew how it would happen but I always wished it would.  I love anything to do with travel, geography, cultures and spirituality.  Now, in my 30’s, I have been blessed with this awesome privilege (God answered my prayers!) and I just desire to share my experience, pictures, thoughts and life (well… at least some parts of my life) with you.  Enjoy, God bless and thanks for stopping by!
